Introduction to Brakes: Common Malfunctions of Disc Brakes

  At first glance, the term 'brake' may seem unfamiliar to many people. In fact, brakes are very simple, and they are what we usually refer to as brakes. Do you understand this statement?  There are many types of brakes, including hydraulic brakes, block brakes, disc brakes, and many more.  So who knows what the main faults of disc brakes are?  The pressure on the barometer rises slowly. Main reasons:  (a) Pipeline leakage;  (b) The air pump is not working properly;  (c) The one-way valve is corroded and stuck;  (d) The oil drain bolt of the oil-water separator is not tightly closed or the pressure regulating valve is leaking air. Methods for cleaning up problems; Firstly, the pipeline should be cleaned of any air leaks, and then the operation status of the air pump should be checked. Remove the exhaust pipe of the air pump and press the outlet tightly with your thumb. If the exhaust pressure is low, it indicates that there is a problem with the air pump. If the air pump is in excellent working condition, check the oil drain plug or pressure regulating valve of the oil-water separator to prevent bypass, and clean up the problem after inspection. Finally, check the two one-way valves in the three-way connector again. If the one-way valves are stuck, it will cause the air storage cylinder to be unable to intake or intake slowly.  (2) Lack of braking force and weakness. Main reasons:  (a) Brake oil leakage;  (b) There is air in the brake oil circuit;  (c) The wheel hub oil seal is damaged, and there is oil stains on the clamp disc;  (d) Severe brake wear and tear, with burnt conflict surfaces;  (e) The air pressure adjustment in the pneumatic circuit is too low. The above problems can be repaired, adjusted, or replaced with parts according to their respective causes before cleaning.  (3) Run off track after braking. The direct cause of deviation is the unequal braking torque between the two wheels. Common causes of the problem include:  (a) The oil stains on the brake caliper disc are severe, and the coefficient of the conflict body is severely reduced, resulting in an unbalanced braking torque. At this moment, the oil stains on the brake caliper disc should be removed;  (b) The cylinder piston is stuck and cannot operate. Press the brake pedal while still, investigate the condition of the cylinder operation, and disassemble and inspect as necessary.  (4) Brake card issuing. Symptoms of the problem: The loader has difficulty starting and walking, and after parking, touching the clamp plate with your hand causes it to heat up. Main reasons:  (a) After parking the conflict film, touch the clamp plate with your hand, and the clamp plate will heat up. Main reasons:  (b) The wear and tear of the conflict plate has become thinner, the dust ring is damaged and water has entered, and the piston is corroded and stuck;  (c) The reset tension spring in the booster pump is weak or broken, and high-pressure oil cannot flow.  (5) The booster pump sprays brake fluid. Symptoms of the problem: When applying the brake, oil mist sprays out. Reason for the outbreak:  (a) The brake light switch is damaged, and high-pressure oil is spraying out from the switch interface. Replacing the switch can solve the problem.  (b) The piston rod length of the booster pump is too long. This situation can occur when replacing the booster pump assembly. The reason is that the piston rod adjustment is too long, resulting in excessive piston stroke during booster pump operation. Brake fluid flows back into the booster pump from the drain hole and sprays out. During installation, the piston stroke should be measured to determine the length of the piston rod.  Common problems with disc brakes during use include air resistance, lack of braking force, and noise during braking. Air resistance  The heating part of the disc brake is concentrated on a very narrow brake pad, and its unit pressure is higher than that of the drum brake. The brake pad and the piston of the caliper body directly touch each other, so the heat during braking is easily transferred to the brake fluid. In this way, the disc brake can easily experience air resistance. However, if corresponding measures are adopted, the occurrence of air resistance symptoms can also be prevented.  1.
